Softswiss brings F1 legend on board as non exec director for LatAm

In a press conference taking place at the Hotel Jardins a day before the SiGMA Americas conference kicked off, SOFTSWISS unveiled plans to bring Rubens Barrichello on board.

The F1 icon joins Softswiss as a non-executive director for the LatAm region. His role will be crucial in strengthening the company’s presence in the region, connecting with the local tech community, and boosting innovation within the iGaming industry.?

Barrichello will bring ‘valuable insights to elevate its sports betting platform and other products to new heights’

With his legacy in Formula 1 and leadership skills, Barrichello brings a unique perspective to the team, while his dedication to philanthropic causes reinforces his commitment to the responsible game, positively impacting both the world of igaming and society in general, as he is also an ambassador for raising awareness of autism and research on child cancer.

The establishment of this partnership with Rubens Barrichello is a strategic step for the company – reflecting the company’s plans for Brazil – a growing hub within the LatAm region. In addition, Barrichello’s ambassadorship serves to bridge Europe and Brazil, bringing synergy between culture and business.

“The iGaming field has shown remarkable growth both in Brazil and globally. Joining Softswiss, I am delighted to become one of the drivers of this process in Latin America! I am sure my background with the leading racing team will propel the iGaming tech leader towards success in the region,” commented Barrichello.

According to Ivan Montik, the company’s founder, the regulation in Brazil is a great opportunity for SOFTSWISS. One of the advantages that SOFTSWISS has seen in Brazil is the growing economy that the country is going through, especially in the streaming sector, where Brazil is the largest power in Latin America. He also mentioned his plans to work with local operators, adapting to the country’s culture and working together to meet Brazilians’ expectations. SOFTSWISS intends to adapt payment methods to align with those most commonly used in Brazil, such as Pix, widely used among Brazilians in various means of entertainment and others.

Montik also emphasized Brazilians’ passion for sports, both football and Formula 1, volleyball and others. This is one of the factors that contributes to exponential growth in the country. Therefore, for this market, SOFTSWISS plans to adapt its product to the sports preferences of Brazilians, aiming to become the leading company in this arena. The software supplier is currently also awaiting the approval of a new measure – which they plan to announce in July and thus finally put its projects into practice.

Montik has also  revealed that he is exploring opportunities in other Latin American countries, two of which are Mexico and Chile, countries he believes have great potential for SOFTSWISS.
